Devotional Study Group
Thursday, October 13, 2005, 2:09 PM

With the launch of our Treaders page we’ve begun to list discussion groups of Touchstone readers around the country.  Now, someone would like

to start a Daily Devotional Guide readers group.  Perhaps we could call

this a "Breaders" group (Bible readers).  Here are the details from the leader:

Men’s study

group to share insights gleaned from the Daily Devotional Guide will be

forming.  Time of meeting will be during the lunch hour in downtown Chicago.

For more information, contact Jeff Kvistad at jeffrey.m.kvistad@chi.frb.org.

trialofjobcover 2 Free Book  Subscribe NowI have not departed from the commandment of his lips;
I have treasured in my bosom the words of his mouth.
Job 23:12

This is our prayer as Christians and publishers of Touchstone: A Journal of Mere Christianity:

to always remain true to God, to use his word as the touchstone for our

lives.  We endeavor to make Christ our treasure and to never depart

from him. We produce Touchstone to be a resource and companion on the journey that is the Christian life for those who share our prayer.

Keeping this in mind, we would like to offer a very special and

limited-time opportunity.  If you subscribe today, you will get 10

issues (1-year) of Touchstone AND a copy of The Trial of Job by

Patrick Henry Reardon (Conciliar Press, 2005, 214 pages) for only

This is an offer that we have never made before and is only

available to the first 100 people who take advantage of it.  You save

more than 20% off the regular subscription price, and more than 50% off

the cover price AND you get the book thrown in at no additional cost (a

Survey–Last Chance
Thursday, September 8, 2005, 1:19 PM

Tomorrow will be your last chance to participate in the voluntary survey about Christian attitudes towards counseling that I have mentioned over the past several days.  The researcher informs me that they especially need Protestants to participate.  Please click here to take the survey.  It takes about 15 minutes.  My first post about this is here.

Survey–Your Participation Requested
Tuesday, September 6, 2005, 9:44 AM

The other day, I mentioned that readers of Mere Comments have an opportunity to participate in a voluntary survey to assist Christian researchers in their study of attitudes towards counseling.  This opportunity will only be available until Friday.  My earlier post is here.
Or, click directly to the survey, here.

Voluntary Survey
Friday, September 2, 2005, 4:43 PM

You are invited to participate in an online study

examining Catholic and Protestant attitudes toward integrating religious faith

and counseling. The study is completely

anonymous. The study does not assume

that you have been or ever will be in counseling. The study is only interested in your

opinions. It is hoped that this study

will help Church leaders make decisions about the best way to provide

assistance to the souls in their care. Your participation would make a valuable contribution to this goal.

To

qualify for this study, you must be 18 years or older. All information will be

kept completely confidential and anonymous. To learn more about the survey,

or to participate, please click this link.
