I was alerted to this interesting post written by The Rev. Canon Phil Ashey, CEO of The American Anglican Council, about the upcoming meeting of Anglicans Primates from around the world in January to discuss the state of their communion and what might become of it or what could be made of it. Some speak of “separate bedrooms” and some not on speaking terms, but still being family? Perhaps the Archbishop of Canterbury’s distant predecessor in that See, Augustine of Canterbury, or Theodore of Tarsus, who also held that episcopate, not to mention Paul of Tarsus (who didn’t), should all be invited to give an exhortation to the gathered Primates….
